The oldest homes were built in the 1950’s, the newest around 2007; the smallest homes are about 1,800 square feet and the biggest over 5,400 square feet; the smallest lots are about one-seventh of an acre, the biggest are over two acres. Most of the homes have three or four bedrooms and a two-car garage.
Highlands Village is next door to the Crane Creek Country Club, the Hull’s Gulch/Camel’s Back Reserve trail system, and Simplot Hill, the site of the governor’s mansion and a popular sledding and ice blocking spot. Right at the base of the subdivision are several eateries, including Lulu’s Pizza, the Highlands Hollow Brewhouse, and O’Michael’s Pub and Grill. There are also a few outdoor sports stores that cater to those that wish to go up the road and ski at Bogus Basin. Highlands Village is quite close to downtown Boise and all it brings.
